DIY boutique eco-friendly accommodation
We offer a very personalized service, tailored exactly to your needs.....
we ask you what, when and how you want, and we will do our best to please.


What we do for you

  • We serve a breakfast based on the following ingredients which can be customised to your taste:
    coffee, milk, tea, juice, bread, butter, cheeses, cold meats, local seasonal fruit, muesli, yoghurt and delicious locally made "Baiana" cakes
  • We also have an A La Carte menu with light snacks and drinks to order.
  • To help preserve the environment, we change bedding and towels once a week or when requested.
  • We provide a very reasonably priced laundry service.
  • We are available to offer suggestions and tips, and to answer any questions.
  • We can arrange customised guided trips and tours.
  • We can arrange car hire and airport transfers.


    What you can do for yourself

  • We have a well-equipped kitchen which guests can use to cook themselves light meals, if they wish.
  • Guests can help themselves to drinks and beverages based on an 'honour' payment system.
  • We have TV, DVD and CD player in the living room and a DVD / CD collection available for guests.
  • We also have a large barbecue and smaller portable one which guests are welcome to use by arrangement
  • We have a mountain bike available for short rides within the local area.

The location:

We are located on the river bank, about 10 minutes walk to the village of Barra do Jacuipe.

It is 50Km (31miles) from the centre of the city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and only a very short drive of 30 minutes from the airport, 30Km (20 miles) northward along a very good highway called Estrada do Côco.

There are 4 supermarkets, a bakery, pharmacy, fishmongers, restaurants and beach-side bars, all within walking distance.

The house:

  • 4 bedrooms, all ensuite with brand new split air-conditioning and ceiling fan.
  • Mosquito screens on windows and balcony doors of the 3 upstairs bedrooms.
  • Open plan Bar / Lounge / dining area with TV and DVD player leading out to a very large verandah, which in turn leads down to the swimming pool deck, garden and beach.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with pantry.
  • Social (public) bathroom (WC) leading off from the Lounge.
  • Extremely efficient solar-powered hot water in all bathrooms, showers and sinks except the social bathroom sink which only has cold water for hand washing.
  • Gated garaging for 2 cars, and there is always ample parking in the street.
  • 24 hours gated security.
  • Broadband internet connection.
